The Great Wall

It is easy to appreciate why the Great Wall is the only construction project visible from the moon with the naked eye. It once stretched 6,200 miles. The amount of brick and stone to build it would circumscribe the world with a dike eight feet high! As impressive as the Wall itself were the hoards of Chinese huffing and puffing their way to the top. Entire families with toddlers, parents and grand parents made the pilgrimage.
