Returning to the U.S. was a nonevent after the last 100 days. The sights, the new friendships, the knowledge and education we experienced cannot be accurately conveyed. The combination of faculty, senior adults, students and historic sights and personalities has expanded our thoughts and perspective immeasurably. Unless you have done an SAS voyage you cannot begin to comprehend its value and impact. I am sure for most students it will be the high point in their college education.

Knowledge and experiential learning are keys to appreciating and understanding our world. Wars start from misunderstandings. Misunderstandings are based on ignorance. What better way to contribute to world peace than to educate one's self and others while traveling to foreign countries and learning their cultures?

The world changed while we were gone, the United States changed while we were gone and so did we.
